We recently hosted a private workshop in the Northwest Corner of CT at the Northwest Camp in Salisbury, CT. Together with the folks at Eco Acres Earth School we successfully roughed it in a 1950s rustic cabin tucked away in the foothills of Bear Mountain. The cabin sits right near the Appalachian trail head and is an easy hike to both Bear mountain summit and Sages Ravine.
We got a chance to work out with our Hiking sticks on the mountain top and cover some Wing Chun style short staff training.
To schedule a private workshop like this takes a little planning, but is an excellent opportunity to practice some outdoors skills and see how we all did with no wifi and no electricity for a couple days. It was a great time, and one of many to come.
