Siu Lim Tao Form – Filmed 2012
Learning Wing Chun Online From Videos.
Good day to you, if you’re reading these words you’re well on your way to learning about Wing Chun concepts and it’s training methods. There is no better training method, than hand to hand in real life, with a Sifu. When a Sifu is not available, you just train yourself. Train what you know and explore new ideas through research. Video is the ultimate research tool when a Sifu or seasoned coach is not available. Just like in a weekly group class, you’d learn two person drills and go round after round until you’re both experts at it. Some drills take thousands of reps before you can say you have a good skill at it’s movements. The more intricate the combos 5 or 6 moves deep the more likely they are to fail if the first few actions are at a very high skill. Flawless basics are what make the master.
Remember the drills taught at seminars are just a single idea, brought into condensed format for a single day seminar. In regular training, it’s common to do only one or two drills and spend an hour or more on each.
Enjoy!
