Wing Chun Sword Live Blade Demonstration – Solo Drills and Form Impressions

The Wing Chun Sword, often called “Baat Cham Do” or “Bart Cham Do” and also “Baat Jam Do” is a common melee weapon found through the martial art systems of Southern China. Here is some outdoor footage we captured this last fall of some solo practice training drills and some of our Wing Chun Sword Form sections.

Demonstration only. Since these are live blades, it’s important to move slowly and carefully so you don’t cut your hand or leg. The use of a sharp sword will always improve your hand eye coordination and is essential practice for those serious about learning Authentic Wing Chun. This practice featured an authentic pair of Northern Butterfly Swords courtesy of the craftsman at Traditional Filipino Weapons. These swords are razor sharp, hand made and absolute heirloom quality. We’re happy to have them in available to train with.
